Blood Field. Integrator 7 is involved in the formation of stem cells in the bone marrow. These cells mature into the red blood cells, the platelets and the white blood cells of the immune system. There’s also a match to haemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in the red blood cells. Blood oxygenation and immune system activation are influenced by this Integrator therefore.

Gallbladder and Digestion. The gallbladder receives and stores bile from the liver. Bile serves both a digestive and a detoxification function. It is needed to break down and digest fatty foods, and it is the route through which the liver clears toxins through the bowel. The stomach, small intestine, epigastrium and peritoneum are also found here.

Gallbladder Meridian. The gallbladder meridian begins at the outer corner of the eye, loops down and up into the head, before descending through the back of the neck and the shoulder. From here it descends down the side of the body, into the hip, down the outside of the leg and into the ankle, ending at the fourth toe. The deep channel connects to the liver and the gallbladder. Headaches, tension and stiffness in the shoulders and the neck, hip pain, as well as digestive symptoms such as bloating and acid reflux can be influenced by this Integrator. There is also a link with this Integrator and the sinews of the body.

Brain and Nervous System. This Integrator contains the grey matter of the brain and spinal column. Grey matter contains the brain’s nerve cells (rather than white matter which is the insulating tissue that surrounds them). It is involved in muscle control, and sensory perception such as seeing and hearing, memory, emotions, speech, decision making, and self-control. The sympathetic nervous system regulation of blood pressure is influenced by Integrator 7. The brain’s white matter is found in Integrator 6.

Emotions. In TCM the gallbladder is regarded as the body’s decision maker, responsible for making good judgement calls and taking action. Of course the “little grey cells” are here, so it makes sense that brain power is influenced by this energy compartment. We may see issues around self-assertion, loyalty, honesty, faithfulness, or the inability to take the initiative or make good judgement calls when this Integrator is challenged. There is also a connection with daring and decision-making. Hypochondria is also associated with this Integrator. The emotion that most damages the gallbladder is anger. We can see this link in the language of the gallbladder. To gall is to anger or offend; a bilious person is irritable or angry; to spit bile is to express bitterness and rage. Blocked emotions generally, especially suppressed anger and resentment, can block the flow of energy, which the EI7 Infoceutical can help to address.
