ED 4 NERVE DRIVER

Bottom Line: Nervous System, Brainwaves, Awareness.

The nervous system allows us to sense, interpret and react to our environment. It controls and coordinates all body activities, from unconscious processes like breathing, sweating and digesting, to conscious processes that allow us to respond to stress, or to learn and develop. Everything we sense, feel, think and do is coordinated by the nervous system. The nerve driver field is generated by the nerve cells (including the nerve axons, dendrites and myelin sheath) and the complex brainwave patterns that they produce. The Nerve Driver Infoceutical helps to reinvigorate the nerve cells and the production of calming and relaxing brainwaves.

Brainwaves are produced by the synchronised signals of masses of nerve cells communicating with one other. Brainwaves vary in their complexity, frequency (speed) and amplitude (loudness). When slower brainwaves are dominant we may feel more relaxed or sleepy; faster brainwaves will make us more alert and wired (and it is possible to be wired but tired of course). We can think of brainwaves as instruments, having different qualities of pitch and volume. Brainwaves are always playing together, linked through harmonics, but one brainwave pattern tends to dominate depending on the time of the day or night, and what we are doing or feeling. Think of it like a solo performance, with the orchestra playing along in the background. We want our brainwaves to be in harmony and we don’t want any one solo performance to hog the limelight for too long. There are four main brainwave states that correspond to our daily activities and circadian rhythms.

Delta Waves (0.5 to 3 Hz). These are the slowest and loudest brainwaves, like the deep and penetrating thud of a drum. We produce them in deep sleep. Healing and regeneration are stimulated in this state, and that is why we need a good and restorative night’s sleep for health.

Theta Waves (3 to 8 Hz). These waves are produced in dreaming, deep meditation, visualization and in that state between sleep and wake when we are day-dreaming. Much creative thinking and ah ha realisations come from this state of mind.

Alpha Waves (8 to 12 Hz). These are produced when we are awake and alert but in a calm and relaxed state of mind. Thoughts are quietly flowing and peaceful. We are in the moment, not stressed. Alpha waves aid mind/body integration and learning.

Beta Waves (12 to 38 Hz). Beta waves are faster and quieter. They are dominant when we are fully conscious, active and attention is directed towards all the tasks we need to accomplish during the day. They are involved in problem-solving and decision-making processes. Beta waves use up lots of brain energy, which is why thinking can sometimes be just as exhausting as running a marathon.

There are also Gamma Waves (38 to 42 Hz), which are the fastest and most subtle of brainwaves and the mind has to be quiet in order to hear them. These waves appear to be involved in simultaneous processing of information from different brain areas. Research shows them to be more active in states of expanded consciousness, spiritual connection and universal love. Infra-Low waves (<0.5HZ), the deepest and slowest of all, are difficult to detect but appear to be involved in brain timing. They underlie our higher brain functions, perhaps providing the stable base for our higher brain functions to take off and fly.

Issues: Our typical western lifestyle of sensory overload and mental over-activity can disturb our brainwaves, with many of us stuck in beta mode too much of time, and not producing enough of the alpha waves that allow the brain to rest, or the delta waves we need for deep, restorative and healing sleep at night. Artificial light, EMF pollution, alcohol, certain drugs and prescribed medications can interfere with brainwave patterns. The nervous system energy fields are particularly adversely affected by several pollutants, including hydrocarbons, solvents, organophosphates and certain vaccinations.

Fatigue and anxiety are two of the most common symptoms associated with a nervous system imbalance. Conditions like hypersensitivity (to noise, light, pain), mood disorders (hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder, depression, mood swings), insomnia, headaches, tingling, numbness, poor memory and concentration are other obvious connections, but the nervous system is going to be involved in pretty much every condition, given its role in orchestrating all body activities.

A nerve driver priority may also signify that some aspect of awareness needs attention.

ACTION: Bring Balance, Resilience and Awareness to your life

Questions: How is my nervous system tied in with my health goals? In what way may I be numbing my senses? Do I need to wake up to my situation? How can I take steps to slow down and calm my mind?

Go For It:

Shift your brain activity to match what you are doing. This is a two way street. Change your thinking and doing and you can change your brainwaves. Change your brainwaves (through breath work for example) and change your thinking and doing.

Practice Mindfulness. Mindfulness is being aware of what is going on inside you and around you. It is the awareness of your body, thoughts and feelings, and it is the ability to observe and be present in your life.

Mediate. All meditation involves being in the present moment. Lots of different ways – by observing the breath, focusing on a mandala, saying a mantra, or simply by truly taking note of and experiencing your surroundings.

Switch off. Take a break from the over-stimulating world of multi-media and electromagnetic fields.

Brainwave entrainment and neurofeedback techniques can be helpful.

NES Health imprinted sound cds can be played during the day to enhance creativity, relaxation and healing or at night to help with sleep and repair.

miHealth settings for mental clarity, peace, love and chill can help to entrain the brainwaves to a slower and more rhythmic state.

NERVE DRIVER INFOCEUTICAL: Nerve Driver helps to bring both energy and harmony to the nervous system. It has a calming and relaxing but non-sedative effect and can be taken any time of day or night. It helps to restore natural brain rhythms, enhance awareness, and aid a deep and restful night’s sleep. It can help to energise and regenerate nerve cells and helps to clear pollutants that are adversely affecting your brain and nervous system.
